Tools

Pretty tools with heavy shadows, spelling out "TOOLS" in front of a drawing board. © Anton Hoyer

Most of my projects are only gimmicks for entertainment and educational purposes, and truth be told, I write these posts mostly for my future self to remember what I even did. However, in rare cases, my projects turn out web-based tools that may actually be useful to other people! I started out with PHP for simple forms, working in tandem with more complex Python back ends, but eventually switched to JavaScript running only on the front end (albeit compressed, bundled, and obfuscated). You can find these tools below, including several name generators.

For offline tools and games, such as released applications on GitHub and itch.io, please refer to the individual pages and posts—hoping for the best, because most of my code is private and written in task-specific coding languages, which seldomly motivates me to release an application (together with cross-platform incompatibility, security considerations, and perfectionism).
