Imperfektionist

Imperfektionist - progressive indie music project by Anton Hoyer

“For the most part, Hoyer plays fingerstyle, ruining clean electric guitars with numerous modulation effects, and capping it all off with the inconsiderate use of virtual amps and AI mastering, thereby covertly contributing to the loudness war. As Hoyer’s neighbors are not fans of his vocal performances, he prefers to sing softly and up close to the mic, not even bothering to get up from his very comfortable chair.”

Biography
Hoyer got his first guitar in 2010 and immediately began composing out of a need: to win the heart of a lady. She did not last, unlike the music. Operating under the moniker “Zebra Strypes,” he gained his initial live experiences alongside three friends, covering alternative rock classics and performing original material. The band was later rebranded as “Imperfektionist” after two members departed due to creative differences. While Hoyer was actively playing electric bass for the power-trio Fantastic Nightmare, Imperfektionist eventually transformed into a solo project. Home recording became more serious in 2014, leading to the creation of over 85 original tracks throughout the years. However, it wasn’t until 2020 that Hoyer decided to make some of his music available to the public.
